BarCampMiami 2009

So this year, I decided to attend this event in Miami, called BarCampMiami. According to the official website, (www.barcamp.org) BarCamp “…is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants.”

Workshops are the key to BarCamp

Needless to say, the event was pretty awesome! I met some extraordinarily talented people, amongst them Jordan and Caleb from Kallow.com, (check it out; incredible site!) and Craig & Gary from VOIS.com. (You guys rock!)

Kallow.com is a great way to buy electronics.

The venue was the Anokha Restaurant in Coconut Grove which was perfect, thanks in part to the excellent weather. Some of the workshops were held at the Mayfair Hotel across the street, which was breathtaking needless to say!

I also had the pleasure of meeting @JMarieDirect from www.golivemiami.com who did an awesome job at covering the event for all of the world to see!

All in all, I had a blast, and am definitely looking forward to more events from all the participants in the future!
